Mixed fortunes for Kick ‘n Boboza

Last Friday the Group A’s favorites Kicks took on Vodacom and Zanapark from Group B league in the Cross-Over matches. And this is how it went down

Vodacom steal late win against Kicks

Kicks fans were surprised to see only 4 regular players in the line-up [Little Melf, Denverio, Leonardinho and Ponkic]. 2 other players from The Predators were swooped-in. Kicks new signing Ashley was forced to watch from the bench as he arrived late. Vodacom took early 2 goals lead before Denverio reduced the score line to 2-1. Leonardinho came from the post and combined well with Ponkic to score the equalizer. Little Melf set up Leonardinho with a superb pass to put Kicks in a 3-2 lead. Vodas equalized but TallPred restored Kicks lead to 4-3. Leonardinho put Kicks to a comfortable 5-3 lead. But Vodas came back strongly and scored 2 quick goals. Denverio combined with SmallPred and Little Melf and put Kicks on a 6-5 lead. With less than 2 minutes to go Vodas scored an equalizer and a last seconds wining goal to seal the game. 7-6 final score.

Ashley wins it for Kicks on debut

Kicks had to rely on the new signing Ashley Ash when they took on Zanapark FC in the 2nd game. Thanks to a warm welcome from the team Ash produced a man of the match performance. Ash was very solid at the back and in the middle of the park, assisted by the brave Ponkic and midfield maestro Denverio. Kicks gave Zanas a 8-4 hiding courtesy of Devnerio [2 goals], Ashley[1], Leonardinho[2], and Sam (swooped-in) [3].
