Kicks in Finals

Kicks will take on Barca in tonight’s final at 20:15 following a great 10-4 victory against the thorny Miway. Miway has been troubling Kicks in friendly games but last Friday Kicks came with a great plan to overthrow the young Kings. Leonardinho had to compromise his place in the playfield to make way for the young Lefa who is of the same age and pace as Miway. Taking on the coaching role Leonardinho had to scream from the coaching box to ensure the likes of the lazy to mark McDinovic goes back in time after losing the ball from the young Kings’ half. The comrade running Captain Ponkic had to regenerate the energy that he used in completing the 86.96 km race. Melf had to do the dirty work of clearing the dangerous balls from the back, Ashlic had to produce the killer passes he does in every game, Tomasino was required to concede less number of goals and all went accordingly. Miway got a 10-4 kicking.

The final will be tough since Barca are basically a sister team to Miway. Just like Britain consisting of four countries (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales), Miway is formed by three teams and in this league all players from Miway Kingdom are eligible to play for any team in the Kingdom. What this basically means is that Kick n Boboza have won the battle and not the war. Their fate in the war shall be known tonight. So, gentlemen tonight prepare to dine in hell…

Kicks in semis

Kicks will have their midfield king pin in tonight’s semifinal clash against the thorny Miway. Adam is returning from Cape Town’s high performance and rehab centre. It will be an interesting battle as both side play almost similar attacking style. But The Blues will have to clean their house first since the team forfeit last week’s game due to late arrival of the squad. Only Melf showed up in time. The comrade marathon running Captain, comrade Ponkic was not impressed with his team’s late show and hopes his tongue lashing talk did not fall on deaf ears.

Kicks wallop Mashesha as written in the script

Whoever said one can never write a soccer script should contact Melf. The chap, said before kickoff that he will score the opening goal in the first seconds of play, no one took him that serious until he unleashed a super strike a meter from the centre line in the 14th second to send Kicks to an early lead. Melf made similar prophecy during half time break and this time he said he would score the last goal of the match, he is now pushing it I mean how will he do it? Will he even be in the pitch in the last minutes of the game? Well It depends on how you look at it, whether you believe in muti, lucky-charms, etc… The dude scored the last goal of the game to give Kicks an 11-6 win.

Goals: Ponkic (5), Ashlic (2), Melf (2), Leonardinho (2)
Man of the match: Ponkic
Moment of brilliance: Melf and his omen stole Ashlic shining moment where he mesmerized 2 players . Kicks could use this voodoo man

Against all obstacles, Kicks still standing

Kicks took on the powerful Pump Action side in the most controversial game ever. Both teams were locked in a 0-0 battle for quite some time until Pump Action opened the scoring in the 8th minute. The dribbling wizard Ashlic was shown a yellow card after complaining to the ref for not awarding an advantage in an incident where Melf was fouled but the ball managed to get to Ashlic who was only left with the goalkeeper to beat. The yellow card meant a 2 minutes rest for the Kicks player and only Melf & Captain Ponkic had to face the 3 red hot Pump Action bullets. Goalkeeper Tomasino produced several great saves to prevent the Action boys from scoring but could not save the lethal strike that sent Action to a comfortable 2-0 lead.

McDinovic completed a killer pass from Ponkic to grab one for Kicks only for the Action boys to throw in 2 more. Leonardinho reduced the deficit to 4-2 before half time. Drama unfolded during halftime break when the ref showed Ashlic the red card. Kicks protested and the resumption of the 2nd half was delayed. While the protest was going on the ref decided to resume the clock which put Kicks in unfavorable position. There was only 10 minutes to play for when Kicks finally decided to accept the ref’s decision and continue with the game with one man out. Witnesses say they have never seen such a never back down spirit displayed by Kicks, ever. Every player was willing to die in the pitch protecting the glorious name of the team. It was kick-kick and boboza, the next thing Pump Action were facing the score board in disbelief, 5-4 to Kicks is what was written on the score board. That was Kicks’ 17th consecutive win.

Moment of brilliance: McDinovic’s breathtaking goals
Man of the match: For the first time in the history of the game, All players of the team [Tomasino, Leonardinho, Melf, Ponkic, Mcdinovic, Ashlic]

Adam stirs Kicks to a historic come back

The Super Summit controlled the entire half and it did not come as a surprise when they scored 5 goals without getting the response from Kicks. Just when they thought they are in for a big win against Kicks, the returning Cedric threw in the first response for kicks with a super strike. The introduction of Ashlic also did some magic as the dribbling wizard combined well with the skill-rich Adam to restore Kick’n Boboza pride. Adam’s recharged performance lifted the workaholic captain Ponkic and also gave the likes of Tomasino in goalpost and the sneaky Leonardinho some hope which put a smile on the shouting coach Little Melf. Kicks overturned Summit’s 5-1 lead to a 9-7 win. Goals: Adam [4], Ashlic[2], Leonardinho[2], Cedric [1]. Man of the match: Adam Moment of Brilliance: Cedric’s opening goal, it was a super shot, the goalie had no choice but watch as it goes in...
