Kicks still proud after Under 23 lose

Comrade Marathon Medalist Captain Ponkic’s side took on a very skillful Under 23 team with only 2 regulars Leonardinho and McDinovic. Captain called in two juniors [under 17] to assist. The juniors played well but had to leave in the middle of the first half and Kicks had to finish the 1st half a man short. In the 2nd half Kicks introduced a 14 year old who had to play the whole of the 2nd half and did well considering his age. The fans were entatained by the 2 sides’ attacking show. It was difficult to predict who was going to win the game as the teams were on neck-to-neck with goals. Without a sub, to ease the preasure Leonardinho and McDinovic gave each other chances at goal keeping department and the comrade runner had to play the whole game without rest. With 1 minute remaining, the score was 9-9 but Under 23s managed to score two to end the game at 11-9. Kicks goals came from Junior[1], Ponkic [2, 1 was a hell of a powerful shot], McDinovic[2] and Leonardinho [4, 1 was a diving header: do they still exist?].

Good news: The Blues are in negotiations with one of the talented masters of the game Ash, who played a major role in Under 23’s win against Kicks that night
